The "army officer" listing is one of the oldest marketplace tricks. A scooter is listed at a very good price by a seller who says he is in the army and has just been transferred. He sends a photo of an ID card and a uniform to build trust.
He cannot meet because he is on duty, so the scooter will come through the "army courier". First a delivery charge, then a "gate pass" fee, then a refundable "army security deposit". Each payment unlocks a new problem.
The uniform and ID are usually stolen photos. Never pay in advance for something you have not seen, and be extra careful when a seller leans on a job that demands respect. Meet in person, see the item, then pay.
