Blue tick, followers or monetisation offered for a fee
Someone offers to get you a verified badge, more followers or monetisation for a fee, or sends a "verification" link that steals your account.
Community reports: 0
How it works
- A message, comment or email, often from an account using the platform's name, says your profile qualifies for a blue tick, monetisation or a big follower boost.
- You are asked to pay a fee to an "agency" or "manager", or to fill a verification form through a link that asks for your login, password and code.
- The fee is lost and more payments are demanded, or the scammer takes over the account, changes its email and phone number, and may ask for money to return it.

Red flags

- Payment to a personal UPI ID or "agency"
- Link asks for your password or login code
- Deadline of 24 or 48 hours
- "Guaranteed" followers or monetisation in a few days
The one question to ask
Can you find this offer yourself in the app's own settings, without the link or the stranger?
Already paid or shared details?
If you typed your password or a code into their link, open the app yourself, change the password, log out of other devices and turn on two-step verification. If you are locked out, use the recovery option inside the app, and never pay anyone who offers to "recover" it. If you paid money, call 1930 and file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in with the chats and payment details.
