Free game currency or skins through a login link
A link promises free diamonds, skins or UC, and asks you to sign in, handing over your gaming or social media account.

How it works
- A post, video comment or message promises free diamonds, skins or UC for a popular game through a special link.
- The link opens a page that looks like the game or social media login, and asks you to sign in to claim the reward.
- Your username and password go straight to the scammer, who takes over the account, sells your items and sends the same link to your friends.

Red flags
- Free game currency from a website, not the game
- Asks you to log in through a link
- "Only for the first few players"
- Asks for your password or login code
The one question to ask
Why would a game give away free currency on a website that is not the game itself?
Already paid or shared details?
Change the password of your game account and of the email or social media account linked to it at once, and turn on two-step verification. Report the account as hacked through the official help or support page inside the game or app, and warn your friends not to open links sent from your account. If you also paid money or shared bank details, call 1930 and file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in.
