Fake government job recruitment with an exam fee
A website copies a government recruitment notice and collects application fees for posts that do not exist.
Community reports: 0
How it works
- A website, SMS or social media post copies a government recruitment notice, such as for railway, police or postal jobs, with logos and thousands of posts.
- You fill an online form and pay an application or exam fee, and sometimes later a "verification", "medical" or "training" fee after a fake result.
- The posts do not exist, the website disappears, and any appointment letter you receive is fake.

Red flags
- Notice not on the department's own website
- Huge vacancies, last date very close
- Selection without a proper exam or interview
- Fee for training, medical or joining letter
- Payment to a personal UPI ID
The one question to ask
Is this same notice published on the department's own official website?
Already paid or shared details?
Call 1930 and file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in with the website address, receipts and screenshots. Do not pay any further "training" or "joining" fee, however close the job seems.
